United States and Canada based mobile phone carriers are now filtering all commercial SMS messages to reduce text message spamming. All customers sending or receiving SMS messages must obtain a valid Campaign Identification Numebr from the Campaign Registry before SMS messages will be delivered. The Campaign Registry was formed by these carriers to manage the approval process, investigate complaints and assist law enforcement with unsolicited SMS spamming from commercial entities.
If you would like to apply for permission to send or receive SMS messages in North America then download the Word document below, complete the document in full and Submit A Ticket with this document attached. Helix Telecom staff will review the document for errors before forwarding the application with your non-refundable application fee to the Campaign Registry for approval.
The Campaign Registry charges a $30 application fee and a $6 per month license fee. These charges are billed for each Helix Telecom account and non-refundable.
If your application is incomplete or inaccurate then your application may be rejected and your non-refundable application fee will not be credited back to your account. If the form is rejected because it was not completed in full or the form contains false information then a non-refundable labor fee of $30 per additional submission will be billed to your account. Do not leave any section of the application blank.
Any customers who wish to register their phone numbers directly with the Campaign Registry should do so. The Campaign Registry's web address is https://www.campaignregistry.com/. If you choose to register directly with the Campaign Registry then please Submit A Ticket with your Campaign Identification Number and we will update your account. If the Campaign Registry rejects your application for service please return to this page and repeat the application process.
Helix Telecom does not charge for SMS or MMS services. These services are free to customers. All customers may continue to send and receive SMS and MMS messages but a valid license is required for those messages to be delivered.
AT&T, Verizon, T-Mobile and other carriers are not obligated to discuss their policies with us, provide advance notice of changes or complete delivery of any messages. Customers contacting Helix Telecom using offensive language or demanding a refund are subject to account restrictions and termination with a substantial account deposit to restore service.
