Why has my easy-to-guess voicemail passcode changed?
Helix Telecom customers may change their voicemail passcodes or voicemail greetings using any of the following methods:
- From any computer in North America via the portal interface;
- Using any phone worldwide using the Helix Telecom Voicemail Access Line;
- From any Helix Telecom phone connected to your office network;
- By dialing your main number and accessing voicemail via an IVR.
All customers are instructed via the Terms of Service to personalize their voicemail passcodes. Any Voicemail Passcode labeled “UNSAFE” in the Support Portal should be changed upon activation of service.
Customers who choose to use a default password or an easy to remember passcode such as 1234, 1111, 2222, 9999, etc.. etc.. may find their default passcodes changed at random, voicemail greetings changed to contain inappropriate greetings or voicemails deleted at random intervals.
