How to pair DP722 or DP730 with DP752 Base Station

If you recently purchased the DP752 base station then sign into the Support Portal, choose section Voice Device Configuration and confirm the number of handsets assigned to the DP752 matches the number of handsets you would like to activate below. Prepare the handsets:

  • Insert batteries into all DP722 or DP730 handset. Handsets should power on automatically. If any handsets do not power on automatically then press and hold the red END CALL button until the handset powers on. If the handset fails to power on then connect the handset to power cable for a minimum of 8 hours and repeat these instructions again.

Locate the registration menu on the handsets:

  • Locate the MENU BUTTON on the handset. The MENU BUTTON is between the 4 arrow indicators. Press the MENU BUTTON and confirm you see a list of icons.
  • CONTACTS will be highlighted by default. Confirm you see the label CONTACTS on the screen.
  • Scroll to the third icon by pressing the RIGHT ARROW BUTTON two times and confirm you see the REGISTRATION label on the screen.
  • Press the MENU BUTTON while REGISTRATION label is displayed on the screen. Confirm the registration menu appears. You will need to locate this menu quickly to register the handset.

Locate the DP752 base station. The DP752 base station has 3 lights above the PAGE ALL button. Locate these indicator lights. You will need to identify these lights to complete the instructions below.

  • The indicator light furthest left is power.
  • The indicator light in the middle is network.
  • The indicator light furthest right is pairing. The pairing indicator has a checkbox below it.

Follow these instructions to pair the DP752:

  • Connect power to the DP752 base station. If you are powering the base station with a POE capable network connection then the POWER light will turn solid when the network cable is connected.
  • The power light will turn solid.
  • All lights will blink. Network and pairing lights lights will stop illuminating. Power light will remain solid.
  • Network light will begin blinking slow then faster.
  • Network light will begin blinking slow again.
  • Pairing indicator light will begin blinking. The pairing indicator should blink for about 60 seconds. Complete the instructions below BEFORE the pairing indicator stops blinking.
  • Press the MENU BUTTON on the handset.
  • Press the RIGHT ARROW button twice to highlight the REGISTRATION label.
  • Press the MENU BUTTON on the handset.
  • REGISTER option will be highlighted. Press the MENU BUTTON.
  • BASE 1 will be highlighted. Press the MENU BUTTON.
  • SEARCHING will appear on the display temporarily.
  • The base station identifier should appear on the display.
  • Press the MENU BUTTON again to pair the handset.
  • EASY PAIRING should appear on the display.
  • Handset Subscribed should appear on the display.
  • The pairing indicator will stop illuminating.
  • Wait 60 seconds. The handset may require software updates. The handset will complete a software update automatically. Do not disconnect internet or power from the base station or power off the handset until the software updates are completed.
  • Make a test call to confirm the handset is working properly.
  • Repeat this process for each additional handset you would like to pair.
