How to order an extension.
These instructions are for ordering an extension. Extensions are used by voice devices (such as desk phones or soft-phones) where you make or receive voice calls. If you are activating a fax adapter for use with your fax machine then please Submit A Ticket containing the MAC address and Caller ID you would like to use. Our Support Department staff will activate the fax adapter for you.
- If you have multiple accounts then you will be prompted to select an account. Select the account you would like to add an extension too.
- Scroll to the top of the page.
- Click the yellow CHOOSE SECTION pull-down.
- Select ORDER EXTENSIONS & NUMBERS from the list of options.
- Your screen should scroll too the ORDER EXTENSIONS & NUMBERS section.
Helix Telecom Terms of Service requires all customers to maintain a valid payment method on file. If your payment method on file is invalid you may receive an error advising you that ordering has been disabled. Please check your most recent invoice for available payment methods and add a valid payment method such as a debit card, credit card or bank account to resume ordering products and/or services.
- Locate the field labeled NUMBER OF EXTENSIONS.
- Change the field containing a “0” to the number of extensions you would like to order.
- The MAXIMUM AUTHORIZED CHARGES field will be updated to reflect the maximum potential cost for the number of extensions you requested. If you would like to obtain a quote for new service please submit a support request. Most quotes are provided within 1 business day.
- Click the PLACE ORDER button.
- You should receive an order confirmation.
- Orders are processed by the Support Department during normal business hours. Most orders submitted during business hours are completed within 15 minutes but may take as long as 1 business day.
