The instructions below must be repeated for each extension you would like to update. For faster service please submit a support ticket containing a list of extensions and phone numbers you would like set as the outbound Caller ID. Our staff will be happy to make this change on your behalf.

These instructions will not modify the Caller ID Name reported to third parties on outbound calls. If you would like to set the name associated with outbound calls please submit a support ticket. Our staff will assist you with this process.

IMPORTANT: All Caller ID Numbers must be valid 10 digit phone numbers owned by your organization. Helix Telecom occasionally audits Caller ID numbers. If the phone number set on an extension does not match the phone number found on your account then we may request documentation showing proof of ownership for the phone number. If you are unable to provide proof of ownership then your account may be terminated without prior notice. Caller ID Spoofing is a violation of federal law. • Sign into the Customer Portal. Click here for instructions if you need assistance with this step.
• If you have multiple accounts then you will be prompted to select an account. Select the account you would like to add an extension too.
• Click the yellow CHOOSE SECTION pull-down.
• Select PHONES & EXTENSIONS from the list of options.
• Your screen should scroll too the PHONES & EXTENSIONS section.
• Under PHONES & EXTENSIONS section you should see a table containing a list of all extensions available on your account. The extensions column is sorted numerically.
• Locate the Caller ID column for each extension/device you would like to update.
• Modify the Caller ID field to include a 10 digit phone number. Do not enter international phone numbers, spaces, punctuation, etc.. You must enter a 10 digit phone number owned by your organization.
• Click the SAVE icon immediately to the right of the field containing the new Caller ID number.
• Repeat this process for each extension or device you would like to update.
