How to add or remove an Authorized User?

The terms Account Owner refers to the person who originally opened the account. The account owner cannot be modified for the duration of the account. The Account Owner is usually an Authorized User on the account.

The term Authorized User refers to someone who is permitted to make changes to the account. An Authorized User can add and remove other Authorized Users but they cannot remove themselves. Adding or removing an Authorized User does not transfer ownership of an account. Phone numbers cannot be transferred to another account or ported without written permission from the account owner.

Follow these instructions to add an Authorized Users to your account:

  • If you have multiple accounts then you will be prompted to select an account. Select the account you would like to view.
  • Scroll too the top of the page.
  • Click the yellow CHOOSE SECTION pull-down.
  • Select GENERAL ACCOUNT SETTINGS.
  • Scroll down to the ACCOUNT INFORMATION & ACCESS section. This section is labeled with a green bar.
  • Scroll down to the AUTHORIZED USERS section. This section is a lighter green bar.
  • Locate the ADD ADDITIONAL AUTHORIZED USER field.
  • Enter the email address of the new Authorized User.
  • Click the SAVE ICON immediately to the right of the ADD ADDITIONAL AUTHORIZED USER field.
  • The screen will reload.
  • Under AUTHORIZED USERS section confirm the new email address was successfully added to the list of Authorized Users.
  • The new Authorized User will need to visit https://fixmyphonesystem.com and choose the SIGN UP option to create an account. Once the account owner has created a new account and signed into the portal they will be automatically linked to the account.

Follow these instructions to remove an Authorized Users from your account:

  • If you have multiple accounts then you will be prompted to select an account. Select the account you would like to view.
  • Scroll too the top of the page.
  • Click the yellow CHOOSE SECTION pull-down.
  • Select GENERAL ACCOUNT SETTINGS.
  • Scroll down to the ACCOUNT INFORMATION & ACCESS section. This section is labeled with a green bar.
  • Scroll down to the AUTHORIZED USERS section. This section is a lighter green bar.
  • Locate the email address under AUTHORIZED USERS section.
  • Next to each email address is a trash can icon. Click the trash can icon to remove the user.
  • The screen will reload.
  • Under AUTHORIZED USERS section confirm the account owner has been successfully removed from the list of Authorized Users.
